THE ANDRE AGASSI FAN CLUB
NEWS AND MESSAGES
- US Open 2006: Sunday 3rd September 2006 sees the last
ever professional match of Andre Agassi (against Benjamin Becker from Germany).
This was more than a tennis match...it was the most honest exhibition of feeling
that you are ever likely to witness on a tennis court. 23,000+ people crying
and applauding for seemingly ages, as one quiet, tearful, and dignified player
contemplates the reality of reaching the climax of a 21 year career at the
US Open. No one has drawn such love from a crowd as this gentleman of sport
- Andre Agassi. It was so special that he openly shared this tremendous moment
of pure emotion with all of us. We love you Andre!.
- Visit Fox
Sports Agassi Gallery for a trip down memory lane.
- US Open 2006: Thursday 31st August 2006. Andre Agassi
gives us one of the greatest, most thrilling (yet scary) matches ever as he
beat Marcos Baghdatis 6-4, 6-4, 3-6, 5-7, 7-5 in front of an excited and loyal
crowd. To all those who doubted he should continue after the 2005 US Open
final, this is proof that he still had some magic left to bring to the court.
- As a special treat, we bring you the part two of Born
to Win.
ARCHIVED WEB SITE FOR BASELINE
Hi there! Here's a few details about
BASELINE!
The club was first set up by Club founder and President Denise Kimble in 1991
as The Andre Agassi Fan Club and has continued to support Andre
Agassi since that time. It was Andre's original UK fan club and
Denise worked alongside his official fan clubs when these have
operated.
The club was designed to support Andre
in his tennis and all he does. It is also there to provide members
with comprehensive, accurate and detailed information on his tennis
as well as his non-tennis activities. It has been set up with
the full knowledge of Andre and his management team and he was
sent a copy of each newsletter.
With the advent of the Internet and the end of Andre's tennis career, the fan newsletters ceased and this site has been retained as an archive of Denise and fellow fans work.
To continue to support Andre in his incredible charitable works, please consider donating to the Andre Agassi Foundation.
